Green Innovation Award: 

TMCI Padovan has been creating, designing, and producing innovative solutions for winemakers for more than 100 years and is known throughout the global wine world for its high-quality winemaking equipment and expertise in the filtration and thermal exchange of must, wine, and grape juice. The company received the Green Innovation Award at SIMEI for its “BioM COORe” technology, which they developed to recover CO₂ from alcoholic fermentation and transfer it to the production of biomass for algae for food supply chains.

New Technology Awards:

Siprem International is a global leader in the development of unique, patented, cutting-edge products and processes that enhance the quality of the must, including crushers/destemmers and presses. The company received the New Technology Award for their technology that reuses fermentation gas by capturing the CO₂ and using it in the juice pressing.

Parsec specializes in the design and manufacture of integrated control systems for the vinification and aging of wines, applying their technical savvy to improve not only wine quality, but the working environment of the wine cellar itself. The company was the recipient of TWO New Technology Awards for its innovative software systems. Its Quadr@ Oenological Software and SmarTrace System monitor and optimize the vinification process, manage product traceability, and oversee energy consumption.

SIMEI is organized by the Unione Italiana Vini to gather and focus on cutting edge technologies in the global winemaking industry. Its “Lucio Mastrobernardino Innovation Challenge SIMEI 2022 Awards” are given to companies who develop new technologies in winemaking and bottling.
