12 Ways to Help Increase Revenue in 'The New Normal'

With so much uncertainty week to week caused by the increase in Corora virus cases, you may be asking yourself, 'Is this the new normal?'. Vines OS polled some clients to share what they are doing to help drive sales during this increasingly difficult time. Here's what some are doing:

  1. Sell tickets to virtual barrel tastings with mini bottles.
  2. Offer flat rate or discounted shipping - it's the number one reason for lost sales online. People don't like to pay for shipping, but they need it more than ever now.
  3. Arrange for curbside pickup or local delivery options, making it easy for members or customers to buy online and drop by to pick it up or have it delivered locally for less.
  4. Sell limited tasting bookings in advance, and designate specific tables throughout the day based on limited availability.
  5. Help your customers stay connected, and bring a little fun into their lives with Virtual Tastings.
  6. Set up Customer chat on your website. Sales can increase by up to 40% after chat is made available because people have questions as they are buying.
  7. Promote 'Member Choice' type clubs so your members can choose what they want. You increase both sales and member happiness.
  8. Sell Gift Club memberships and Gift cards online, or run a promo for a discount on gift card purchases.
  9. Coupons, coupons, coupons - Include an extra bottle, % off a minimum case, or shipping offer. Set up a "Buy 2 and we'll include an Extra" deal ... who doesn't need a bit more wine right now?
  10. Offer members to "Double up their Club" and get an extra % off or something special on the next visit. Let them know you can deliver locally, or offer the discounted shipping.
  11. Sell Futures online
  12. On your website, make sure you have a 'pop up' that displays any current offering, and be sure it's also included on your Shop page and on your checkout pages.

Kristy Charles, who owns Foursight Wines with her husband, Joe, in Boonville, CA, has been a Vines OS customer since they started their winery, over 10 years ago. “We’re adjusting to a whole new world! It’s strange not to have a tasting room open. Many of our wine club members are now requesting that we ship and we’ve been taking quite a few online orders. We’ve never had to use curbside pickup before, but Vines OS makes it easy for customers to choose this option when checking out. We’re also using the new Pop Up Promo feature for the first time to immediately communicate our special offers.” Charles also added a new Chat feature for their site. “Being able to answer questions live when a customer is placing an order is great. We’d been thinking about adding Chat functionality for some time, but now, it’s more important than ever.”

About

What started as a small, family-owned etch business in 1989, quickly grew to the industry leader for screen print. Pioneers in the field of engraved, hand-painted wine bottles, we were the first to combine top level designers, state-of-the-art production, and a staff of experienced artisans to consistently produce a quality product.

Today, Bergin Screen Printing and Etching employs over 75 team members to keep up with the growing demand for unparalleled glass bottle decoration.

Your Partner in Packaging

Bergin has been proudly serving the wine industry as a bottle decorator for over 30 years and has since expanded its innovative labeling solutions to include beer, spirits, and specialty food packaging. With our long-standing expertise, we are known for pushing design limitations experienced with traditional labeling solutions.

As a screen print leader and innovator, we can wrap 360 degrees around the bottle, provide neck printing, and print up to nine colors. We offer over 100 specialty colors including precious metals such as gold, platinum, and copper. Custom colors and mixes are also available. When it comes to our production facility, our Italian machines can produce as many as 100,000 screen printed bottles a day.

Our etch and paint studio delivers high quality works of art that are hand-crafted to order. From 750ml to 27L in size, we take pride in every bottle we produce.

Boosting Shelf-Confidence

At Bergin, we are committed to elevating brands through every bottle. While you work hard to deliver the product inside the bottle, our mission is to make the package reflect the same craftsmanship and passion outside the bottle.

Your concept and ideas are carried to product completion by a seasoned team of Account Executives, who guide you step-by-step through each phase of the project. Working closely with our highly skilled Art Director and Production Artists, the Bergin team ensures delivery of artwork that exceeds all expectations. Our dedication to quality is truly matched by a level of customer service previously unseen in the industry.

Whether you choose screen printing, etching, or one of our many fulfillment services, each project that comes through our doors is crafted with care by the Bergin family. At the end of the day, it all comes down to one word: integrity.
