After 10 years of making wine, Ron, an architect and passionate home winemaker, realized that the process could be far more enjoyable without the mechanical struggles. Having jury-rigged a solution to elevate his press on a folding table and developed his own tracking system for each batch, Ron knew there had to be a better way to make winemaking smoother.

That’s when Jaren, an award-winning product designer, saw an opportunity to refine these ideas and make them accessible to home winemakers everywhere. And so, Blushworks was born.

Together, this father-son team designed the first Blushworks products: Plinth—a sturdy, mobile press stand—and Compass—an intuitive system to guide, track progress, and archive the entire winemaking journey.

The goal was simple: spend less time struggling with tools and more time doing what you love—making great wine.
