Join for an Industry Night at Museum of Sonoma County
The Museum of Sonoma County is hosting an Industry Night for wine professionals on Friday, May 16th. Join us in Santa Rosa for an interactive wine tasting with the Tasting Table, explore the museum, and network with other professionals. The event is free to attend and will take place between 4.00 and 7.00 pm.
Pop-up Events May 17th - June 8th
The Industry Night is the first event in a series of pop-up events the museum is hosting with the Tasting Table. From May 17th to June 8th, the museum will be hosting interactive wine tasting experiences to raise funds for the museum.
The pop-up events will explore a series of curated flights that bring Sonoma County’s wine heritage to life. The tastings will be led by local sommelier Timothy Skok, and each tasting will explore a different theme:
May 23-25: Historic Pioneers – Taste from the vineyards that started it all
May 30-June 1: Unique Varietals – Discover how global styles thrive in Sonoma
June 6-8: Alexander Valley – Explore bold, modern wines from a legendary region

Ideum is a 25-year-old exhibit design firm that specializes in creating visitor-centric interactive experiences. We have our own product line of multitouch tables, and over the years, we have created a wide range of multi-sensory installations.
Interactive Tasting Experiences
In 2024, we launched our newest product, the Tasting Table and Wine Experience. Our passion for food, wine, history, and culture intertwines this development. Professionally, Ideum has developed tasting experiences with Starbucks, JCB wines, MSC Cruise Lines, and others. Our work with museum clients has explored various cultural, historical, and scientific topics. Highlights from this creative work can be found in the Ideum portfolio.
From a personal perspective, wine tasting and viticulture are of deep interest. Our founder has grown various European grapes at high altitudes in Corrales, New Mexico, for the last decade. Collaborating with local winemakers, he has had a front-row seat to the growth of the burgeoning wine industry in New Mexico.
The Tasting Table and Wine Experience
The Tasting Table is a multitouch table specifically designed for wineries, tasting rooms, wine bars, and other venues. It comes bundled with software that facilitates an interactive wine-tasting experience. Together, they provide a new way to experience wine, demystifying and deepening the tasting experience.
Owners of the Wine Experience software have the ability to add their own wines and create custom interactive tasting experiences. They also have the ability to add their own branding and tell the story of their winery. Guest's tasting notes get collected and saved to the cloud, giving wineries the unique opportunity to review what guests taste in your wines.
