Rustichello non-woven swatchLooking for a hand-made paper texture that can also be auto-applied on rolls and is built for small to medium to large scale bottlings? Rustichello is here for you!
100# Rustichello is formed from fibers that are randomly distributed and non-directional, providing a hand-made artisan look with a textured irregular surface. The face stock is a non-woven synthetic paper that is known for its durability without tearing. Its beautiful fibrous textured surface is top coated for optimum print results making it ideal for high-end wine and spirit applications.
Hedges Family Estate presented us with the challenge to print a truly exquisite label that would match the high quality of their wine. Working with the team at Wausau Coated, we were able to be the first in line for Rustichello. We are proud to partner with the Hedges Family as the first to use this new material!
Contact us today to request samples and see how you can use Rustichello to transform your labels into something truly one of a kind.
See the label in person on November 30th at the WIN Expo in Santa Rosa, CA. We will be at booth 141. Use promo code TRY141 for a free trade show pass or $30 off conference sessions.
Until now, the heaviest estate-grade pressure sensitive wine label stock available was 80#. While this material can be debossed effectively, it cannot achieve the same depths as letterpress.
However, letterpress requires crafting one label at a time and hand application, so unless a winery’s production is a few hundred cases or less, it was not possible (or extremely time-consuming and expensive) to have a label on thick paper with deep letterpress relief… until now.
Stop by our booth and check out samples of our exclusive 163# paper stock, Densissima!
Unified Wine & Grape Symposium wine labels paper stock debossed letterpress
Swing by Booth 121 to check out our exclusive 163# Densissima paper stock. This is more than double the standard Estate stock (70#).
While these regular Estate materials can be debossed effectively, they cannot achieve the same depths as letterpress.
However, letterpress requires crafting one label at a time and hand application, so unless a winery’s production is a few hundred cases or less, it was not possible (or extremely time-consuming and expensive) to have a label on thick paper with deep letterpress relief… until now!
Densissima can achieve the letterpress look while being able to run on high speed bottling lines (as well as table top equipment).

The print and design world is constantly growing. As technology evolves, so do the processes for label printing companies. However, there are some important steps you should follow if you want to successfully navigate the printing space, avoid common pitfalls, and craft a beautiful label for your brand.
For over 13 years, Trysk Print Solutions has used the latest technology to collaborate with design houses and allow people to differentiate their brand visually. According to Founder Stephan Martinez, wineries and producers need to ask specific questions and think about the printing and design process holistically. Are you consistently using the same container? What environmental factors could affect the label? Will this label and design withstand shipping conditions?
In this episode of VINTed, Scout Driscoll talks with Stephan Martinez, Founder of Trysk Print Solutions, about the do’s and don’ts of wine label printing. Stephan discusses how the printing industry has evolved, shares advice for winemakers and producers in the printing process, and explains the importance of conveying brand intention through your design.
Trysk will be at the WIN Expo on December 2 in Santa Rosa, CA.
Stop by booth 134 to check out the latest in print techniques and finishes! We have an exclusive paper stock – Densissima – that’s #163 (more than double the standard thickness of most label stocks) which allows us to emboss and deboss with letterpress quality. However, unlike traditional letterpress labels that needs to be hand applied, this is pressure-sensitive stock and has been tested and run on high speed labeling lines as well as table top machines. Swing by and grab a sample packet!

Ideum is a 25-year-old exhibit design firm that specializes in creating visitor-centric interactive experiences. We have our own product line of multitouch tables, and over the years, we have created a wide range of multi-sensory installations.
In 2024, we launched our newest product, the Tasting Table and Wine Experience. Our passion for food, wine, history, and culture intertwines this development. Professionally, Ideum has developed tasting experiences with Starbucks, JCB wines, MSC Cruise Lines, and others. Our work with museum clients has explored various cultural, historical, and scientific topics. Highlights from this creative work can be found in the Ideum portfolio.
From a personal perspective, wine tasting and viticulture are of deep interest. Our founder has grown various European grapes at high altitudes in Corrales, New Mexico, for the last decade. Collaborating with local winemakers, he has had a front-row seat to the growth of the burgeoning wine industry in New Mexico.
The Tasting Table is a multitouch table specifically designed for wineries, tasting rooms, wine bars, and other venues. It comes bundled with software that facilitates an interactive wine-tasting experience. Together, they provide a new way to experience wine, demystifying and deepening the tasting experience.
Owners of the Wine Experience software have the ability to add their own wines and create custom interactive tasting experiences. They also have the ability to add their own branding and tell the story of their winery. Guest's tasting notes get collected and saved to the cloud, giving wineries the unique opportunity to review what guests taste in your wines.
More information about the Tasting Table and Wine Experience can be found on our product page. Please reach out to our sales team (sales@ideum.com) for questions and purchasing information.
