NAPA, Calif. (July 18, 2019) – Oak Solutions Group is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Derek Sanchez for the position of trū/tan Technical Sales Manager/Wine Chemist. Sanchez will provide support for trū/tan enological tannins to the global team of Oak Solutions Group Specialists. Sanchez will also work with the Oak Solutions Group research and development director to ensure their cutting-edge research is available to winemaking customers around the world.

“Derek’s passion for the wine industry and extensive, global experience make him the perfect match for this position. His skill sets will strengthen the position of trū/tan as the industry-leader in oak tannin research and applications,” said Global Director of Sales, Kyle Sullivan.

Sanchez previously made wine at several California wineries and worked a harvest in the Languedoc area of France. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Enology with an emphasis in Chemistry from Fresno State and a European Master of Science of Viticulture and Enology from Vinifera EuroMaster.

“Because of his education and experience in winemaking, Derek has first-hand knowledge of winemakers’ needs. He is able to provide expert consultation to clients on how the portfolio of trū/tan powder and aqueous tannins can help them achieve their winemaking goals,” confirmed Sullivan.
