WineAmerica honors Jim Trezise’s decades of service while continuing its mission as the unified voice for American wineries under Executive Director Michael Kaiser

Jim TreziseAfter more than four decades of dedicated service to the American wine industry, Jim Trezise is stepping down as President of WineAmerica. His leadership and advocacy have helped shape WineAmerica into the national voice for wineries across the country.

A longtime member of the WineAmerica Board of Directors before becoming president in 2017, Jim played an instrumental role in advancing the organization’s mission. Throughout his tenure, he strengthened collaboration among state and regional wine associations, launched the National Winery Economic Impact Study, expanded WineAmerica’s industry presence, and represented American wineries as a tireless advocate across the country and in Washington, D.C.

"Jim’s impact on WineAmerica and the American wine industry cannot be overstated," said Dana Huber, WineAmerica Board Chair and Vice President of Distribution & Public Relations at Huber Winery & Starlight Distillery. "His passion, expertise, and unwavering commitment have strengthened our organization and the industry we represent. We are grateful for his decades of service and the lasting legacy he leaves behind."

Michael KaiserAs WineAmerica moves forward, Executive Director Michael Kaiser will lead the organization’s strategic priorities and day-to-day operations, including government affairs, communications, membership engagement, and organizational management. A 20-year veteran of WineAmerica, Michael has been a trusted advocate for American wineries and a key contributor to the organization’s growth and impact. He will continue working closely with the Board of Directors and industry partners to advance WineAmerica’s mission.
