Studio 2.1, now live for every Studio client, finds containers by mold number or a few questions, keeps packaging specs at the organization level and saves each brief as it is filled in.
Outshinery has released Studio 2.1, a rebuilt version of the brief beverage brands fill in to order Product Shots from Outshinery Studio, its human-led 3D imagery service. The update is live for every Studio client. The ordering process is unchanged: brief, label file, proof. What changed is how the brief is answered.

The container step now offers three routes. Brands that know the mold number from their glass supplier's spec sheet search by name or number. Brands that do not know it answer three questions, about the closure, the weight of the glass and the bottle's profile, and the library narrows to a short list with the shapes chosen most often across Outshinery brands shown first. Brands can also pick a container they have ordered before. The library is now a gallery of more than 1,100 bottle models, each card showing dimensions and a reference number, and a shape picked from it comes with its closest matches underneath, so a wrong shoulder, punt or height is caught before the order.
Container and closure choices can be saved as named profiles. They belong to the organization rather than to the person who entered them, so a colleague or a new hire briefing the next order starts from everything already on file. The form now saves as it goes, so a brief left half-finished while a team waits on a spec is still there later. It also checks every required answer and file before it allows submission, so the brief that reaches Outshinery's 3D artists is complete and the first proof is built from it.
"The brief was always where the precision came from," said Laurie Millotte, Founder of Outshinery. "It should never have been the part clients dreaded."
Ordering an update, such as a new vintage or a label change, now starts from previews of the brand's existing Product Shots. Smaller changes include a color picker for an exact liquid shade, closure questions that skip themselves when a cork sits fully under a capsule, and longer name fields, so the file names of delivered images are no longer cut off. Pricing and file requirements did not change.
Studio 2.1 follows Studio 2.0, released in September 2024, which moved Outshinery's ordering into one web app. A full walkthrough of the rebuilt brief is at https://www.outshinery.com/articles/studio-brief-rebuilt
