These terms are tossed around quite frequently, but do you really know the difference? Both are very effective when used appropriately, but what is the impact when used at the wrong time? The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Counseling, on the other hand, is used as a tool for corrective behavior and can be defined in many ways. In this 3-hour workshop, participants will learn when to use both, and walk away with tools to use in each situation. We will achieve these objectives:

  • Define Coaching and counseling
  • Learn and practice tools for coaching and counseling
  • Identify and remove barriers to using both when appropriate
