An Arc Flash Study is a critical safety analysis that evaluates the potential risks posed by electrical faults within a system. It calculates the energy released during an arc flash event, defines the arc flash boundary, and specifies the necessary personal protective equipment to safeguard workers. For wineries where electrical systems are integral to processes like fermentation, bottling, and pasteurization, conducting these studies is essential to protect both personnel and operations.
Why Wineries Need Arc Flash Studies
Arc flash incidents - sudden, high-energy electrical faults - present serious risks to workers in any industrial setting. In the wine industry, where large-scale electrical equipment is used throughout production, these risks can have devastating consequences. An Arc Flash Study provides wineries with:
TM Process & Controls' Expertise in Arc Flash Studies and Automation Solutions
At TM Process & Controls, Inc., we specialize in conducting Arc Flash Studies tailored to the unique needs of the wine industry. Our team evaluates your electrical system, identifies potential hazards, and provides comprehensive safety recommendations to safeguard your workforce.
In addition to safety, TMPC enhances winery operations through advanced automation solutions. By integrating automated sensors and reporting, we eliminate manual tasks such as temperature monitoring on fermentation tanks, improving both accuracy and operational efficiency, Our expertise extends to optimizing batching systems, pasteurization, cooling systems, and implementing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) that streamline production, reduce energy consumption, and improve product consistency.
Conducting an Arc Flash Study is an essential step that wineries must take to protect their most valuable asset - their people - while enhancing operational efficiency. TM Process & Controls' combination of expert safety analysis and automation solutions ensures wineries can maintain a secure, reliable, and efficient environment.
Don’t leave the safety of your winery to chance.

Our employees’ technical design and hands-on field experience has developed, executed, and commissioned technical solutions throughout the United States and the Caribbean.
Our technical expertise and variety of services provide an all-inclusive, design-build experience. We take pride in our product, and complete projects to exceed customer expectation.
TM Process & Controls, Inc. was co-founded in 2015 by Professional Engineers Andrew Morgan and Niniv Tamimi. Their goal was to build a company that is strong in both mechanical process and automation, providing the customer with a more robust solution than if they were to sub out separate process and automation contractors.
During projects, our controls and process teams work closely to minimize problems that normal design-build teams would encounter. Since 2015, TMPC has expanded its offerings to include additional services that provide value to customers looking for an all-in-one process contractor.
Andrew Morgan is the Director of Process, leading our mechanical design team, field installation and CAD services. Niniv Tamimi is TMPC’s Director of Controls, leading our integration team, network/server design, and start-up services.
TMPC is headquartered in West Sacramento, CA. We also have offices in Naperville, IL, and Turlock, CA. This coverage allows us to respond quickly to our customer’s needs regardless of their location.
