VineView announces its new Terra Insight feature for Pro users. This new tool, available this spring on the VineView App, displays soil boundaries and topography.
Aerial images are powerful tools for farmers to discover and confirm growth patterns within their vineyard. Understanding the cause of these patterns, however, is often a challenge. Now with a single click, Terra Insights allows farmers to access SSURGO data as well as elevation contours, this is just one more way VineView’s technology offers deeper insight into the causes of vineyard variation.
VineView’s viticultural liaison, Brook Murphy explains, “This innovative feature provides an easy-to-use way to identify vine-by-vine growth trends and patterns related to geographical factors which can be significant sources of vineyard variability. Using Terra Insight, plus Purevine vine precision, farmers can obtain critical insights into vineyard variability that can enhance nutrient, irrigation, canopy and harvest decision making while minimizing costs”.
Based on NASA technology, using aerial-based sensors, ultra-high resolution imagery and advanced scientific algorithms, VineView is transforming the way vineyard operators monitor grapevine health. By offering specialized data solutions tuned for the complexities of vineyards, VineView enables growers to improve grape quality, protect against disease, and optimize vineyard productivity.
