LEAD TIMES – Never an issue until it affects YOUR production schedule.

One of the most common questions we get is about LEAD TIMES. It seems that over the course of the last 20 years, the expectation sometimes seems that tomorrow is not soon enough. Don’t get excited, it’s highly unlikely that Vintage 99 Label can get you labels in 24 hours.

However, with good planning and the right label printer, lead times should not be an issue for your bottling schedule. We are very aware of the anxiety that comes with wondering when labels arrive.

Vintage 99 Label works with our customers to understand the timing needed to meet a bottling schedule. Many of our new customers were growing tired of 4-6 week turn around on their label orders. The key to ensuring that you have enough time allowed for the label production, we recommend the following:

Know your dates and communicate that up front before the quoting stage. Let’s talk about what you need and work together on making it happen.
If possible, schedule your bottling date once you know your labels will arrive.
If you have a bottling scheduled, advise that information as soon as you have it along with the bottling line specifications.
Things happen, so allow enough time between receiving labels and the actual bottling date.
If you are ordering labels at the same time for multiple bottling dates, make sure to communicate the items that are needed first. We produce them all at the same time, but we will focus on the immediate need in the QC and finishing department to assure you have labels when needed.
Typical lead times for labels is around 12-15 business days from proof and order approval. If you need something sooner than that, let us know. We aren’t in the habit of saying no.
