This pump just might be one of the best kept secrets! In the current age of energy conservation we are all working hard to be more mindful of our energy consumption. The Certa MasoSine pump uses up to 50% less power than a comparable lobe or circumferential pump. The more viscus the solution, the greater your energy savings are. We pair this pump with a SEW variable gear motor.
The Certa MasoSine is the most gentle pump in our entire line up. It can process whole strawberries without maceration! Pushing whole berries through your must line is no problem for this pump. This will greatly reduce the grinding of seeds during processing.
Why a Sinusoidal Pump?
Gentle and efficient handling of whole berries without grinding of seeds. No product degradation.
How Does a Sinusoidal Pump Work?
The Certa MasoSine pumps have a single sinusoidal rotors. It has a sine wave that rolls along the rotor to create evenly sized chambers. As the rotor spins it creates a vacuum where fluid is pulled through the inlet into each chamber as it turns and ultimately out the higher pressure discharge port. At the topof the chamber is a polyamide gate that functions as a seal between the inlet and discharge of the pump and prevents fluid from escaping.
As the sine wave rotates in the chamber it gently pushes fluid around and out the discharge port. The opposite chamber opens and draws in more fluid. This is a smooth action with almost no pulsation.
The Wine Industry Network (WIN) hosted the 2nd Annual North Coast Wine & Weed Symposium on August 2nd at the Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country in Santa Rosa. Professionals from the cannabis and wine industries came together for the second year to discuss the latest developments with legalization and challenges and opportunities that have arisen in the wine industry over the past year.
The symposium was once again sold out hosting nearly 500 attendees from the North Coast and beyond. Of the days' attendees, 60% were from the wine industry with cannabis and other industry professionals making up the remaining 40%.
The 2019 Wine & Weed Symposium will open with Corey Beck, CEO & Winemaking Chief of The Family Coppola, to share their company story of venturing into the cannabis industry and what they’ve experienced as a result. The remainder of the event will be largely focused on bringing together wine & cannabis industry thought leaders & innovators to review emerging trends in consumer behavior, the impact on wine sales in states where recreational cannabis is legal, alcohol beverage companies investment activity in cannabis and more.
The legalization of recreational cannabis use will continue to have an impact on the wine industry, but how? In what ways might the two industries work together, and where could conflicts arise? Can the two industries learn for each other and establish a dialogue?
